Programme

During the Expo, different groups, clubs, businesses and organisations will host sessions that you can participate in. Some will be hands-on, while others will be more information based, with speakers sharing their experiences, tips, highlights and ways for grinding through when the going gets tough out there on the bike.

Because this is the first ever bike expo in New Zealand, we are very open to suggestions – so if you have an idea for a workshop or a session, or would like to hear from a particular group or speaker, please leave us a message in the suggestion box below.

Sessions are all free of charge, but some will have limited space, so arrive early if you don't want to risk missing out.

Ideas

Over the two days of the Expo we will run a programme of events. 

The activities likely to be on offer are:

  • Bike maintenance for beginners

  • Getting the most from your bike computer and other training tools (gadgets)

  • Setting your bike up correctly for your body

Speakers may include:

  • Competing in a multi-day stage race – training and preparation tips

  • Transitioning from Club racing to national and international racing circuits

  • Training for your first major event

Demonstration bikes we will be seeking:

  • E-bikes

  • New season MTB, Road, Cyclocross and BMX bikes

  • Fixie

  • Tandem
